IT’S AT THE CENTER OF EVERYTHING WE DO

IT’S AT THE CENTER OF
EVERYTHING WE DO

When it comes to healthy living and reducing waste, one word means more than every other: Sustainability. If a lifestyle change isn’t sustainable, it isn’t worth pursuing. If an avenue to reduce waste isn’t easy enough to repeat, it won’t meaningfully impact a reversal of our waste crisis. What cannot be maintained will almost always result in leaving things worse off than where they started.

The word ”Plus” in Plus Brand embodies the concept of MORE THAN. Healthy living is about more than nutrition alone, more than exercise and movement alone, more than intensifying efforts to reduce waste alone, more than any product, plan or technology alone. Just as every individual is more than a simple sum of their accomplishments or titles, healthy living and environmental stewardship is about a sustainable balance of all parts, in accessible bite-sized pieces maintained over time. It’s #THEPLUSYOUNEED.

We took the same approach in developing our All-Scratch!® Technology. To us, a sustainable product must be one that goes the extra mile to avoid excess waste, both in terms of product and packaging, as well as offer a meaningful solution to help stay healthy over the long term. It’s precisely why Plus Brand is about more than products, we’re about solutions. We believe that together we can create a substantial impact, one scratch at a time.

ALL-SCRATCH!® TECHNOLOGY AND REFED

PARTNERING FOR MEANINGFUL CHANGE

Our 2024 partnership with ReFED designates Plus Brand as a Solution Provider as a result of the impact All-Scratch!® technology has on reducing excess waste caused by confusion. As a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to ending food loss and waste through data driven solutions, ReFED is doing an incredible job of collaborating with government and business to bring heightened awareness to the food waste crisis in both the United States and globally.

In the U.S., a staggering 38% of all food goes unsold or uneaten – the equivalent of 145 billion meals annually. It’s valued at $473 billion, roughly 1.8% of U.S. GDP, and it has the same climate footprint as the entire U.S. aviation industry (passenger, commercial, and military).

As the only bottled water company to be considered to be a Solution Provider when it comes to prevention of food and beverage waste caused by confusion, Plus Brand is pushing to lead the way towards a meaningful change in direction of statistics like these by 2030. Collaborations with leading organizations like ReFED, local and federal government and other impact-focused businesses are bringing about a shift in strategies along with policies that incentivize and encourage prevention solutions like All-Scratch!® technology. Check out the white papers below for a more in-depth look at how confusion leads to so much excess and unnecessary waste.

WHITE PAPERS

Confusion: A Leading Cause of Waste

“It’s easy to assume that waste is created as a result of lazy choices and uninformed decisions. Yet the truth is that one of the leading causes of waste has nothing to do with either. It stems from one, seemingly basic, state: Confusion. But there are meaningful ways to avoid this pitfall that leads to so much unnecessary waste.”

What’s on That Surface? How Disease Spreads Through Objects, Surfaces, Food, and Drinks

“Infectious diseases present a huge burden on our public health systems. Bacteria and viruses have the incredible ability to re-emerge and evolve over time, continually posing new problems and challenges. But there are effective ways to protect yourself and your family.”
